this day was the day i realise that something i learn in IT will come useful. =)
our call system was down today.
so .. everything went on MANUAL today.
from ..
taking over customer's orders ..
to write in down manually and gif to the respective stations everywhere ..
to manually calculating the total bill *ALL done by PL*..
and lastly .. collecting the bills and calculate the change using calculator.
i noticed all the disadvantages.
1) more work done.
2) orders might be missed out .. causing customer to be VERY piss.
3) very messy. things canot be confirm at all. (lyk whether did the customer paid anot)
4) waste alot alot of paper!!
then i told PL ..
"this is where WE IT students came in. we INTRODUCE technology to improve the operation"
PL: "ahhh. shut up!"
IF ONLY THE CALL SYSTEM BREAKDOWN B4 MY PM ASSIGNMENT!!
ARGHH!!!
